There shall be an i-church Treasurer, appointed by the Board of Trustees after taking advice from the Web Pastor and Council. The Treasurer shall be an ex officio member of the Council.
i-church will set up a rolling fund for external charitable giving (ECGF) equal to 10% of giving from i-church members and from any other donors who give through the website or by standing order. The Treasurer will maintain this fund as a sub-set of i-church accounts and include it in his/her reports to Council.
The fund will be made available for a variety of causes, especially those discussed and supported in the Social Action forum. The Council shall decide which charitable causes will benefit from this fund, how much and when funding is to be made available, but to aid their deliberations may seek recommendations from members, or conduct a poll to determine the most popular charitable causes. The Council may spend some, all or more funds than are available in the ECGF, making up any shortfall from general funds
