Homosexuality

To me defect or deficency really mean the same thing. And I don't look upon it as being something inferior. Both my wives never had children for medical reasons, and I never looked upon them as being inferior Nobody else did either, as far as I know. And I still look at sexuality basically as means ...

Homosexuality

I don't know what's the problem with having a defect in our lives. We all have defects somewhere in our lives. My first wife couldn't have children because she had a heart condition which she was born with. She died at the age of 35. She had a genetic defect But everyone treated her equally like eve...

Homosexuality

Just to reply to Joe's comment on Homosexuality being a Genetic Defect. I use this term in the broadest sense. I don't believe that this defect can be measured scientifically in any way. I believe it just might be there in some way. But we should still treat Homosexuals as equal, just as we treat an...

Homosexuality

At one point all Christians thought that Homosexuality was a Sin. Today most people seem to think of Homosexualtiy as being normal if you're born as such. Where Homosexuality comes from I d0n't know? It's never really been proven that it comes from birth. The Bible tends to be very negative toward H...

Christian Unity

We all want Christian Unity. We have it in a sense that all Christian denominations seem to work in harmony when they're working on a project they're mutually interested in, but do you think that we will ever have true Christian unity in the the sense that we'll just be one chuch, similar to the Rom...

Jesus not recognized as the Son of God

Thank you Ernest and Joyce for your answers. I might have asked this question before Ernest but in a different context. Sometimes it's good to ask a question several times so one could a better clarification of the answer.

Are all religions the same if they have Love?

And my understanding of any likely punishment that God might make will be an eternal separation from him, never sharing in the eternal love of God or seeing his face in Glory, which it seems to me is our ultimate hope and aspiration. I totally agree with you on this last statement Ernest on the type...

Are all religions the same if they have Love?

Ros You stated that you think everyone will be saved. Does this mean that Adolph Hitler will be saved, that Joseph Stalin willbe saved and that the head of Isis which is terrorizing Iraq, even if he continues with his current vilence will be saved. If this is true then Evil itself has no lasting con...

Are all religions the same if they have Love?

If all religions are the same, what do we do with Christianity, especially when we have Missionaries trying to persuade others that Christianity is the best? After all Jesus Christ claims He is the Son of God (Mark 14:61-61, Luke 22:70-71, and John 5:16-47) whereas the other founders of other Religi...

A Christian Employment Support Group

When I originally brought this topic up, I was a little disappaointed that the first response took about a day and a half to post. But then this topic seemed to take off. A Christian Employment Support Group

I know a church in Houston, Texas that has such an Employment Support Group and they have been very successful with it. They have helped a lot of people. It is quite a large church so that they can muster a number of volunteers who would have the expertise in helping people find jobs. Corbin

Is Gambling a Sin?

I believe Gambling is a Sin if it is accompanied by a Selfish Motivation, such as in getting Sudden Wealth for Personal Use. Of course, some Gambling is used for Charitable Purposes, so then you’d have to measure the individual’s motivation for his or her giving as to which part in his or her life i...

I seem to hear people saying in this conversation, that Gambling in and of itself is not Sinful, but it's more behind the Motivation of why an individual is Gambling. Am I right?

How to Cope with Suffering

This thread on Suffering is becoming such a long thread because I feel this is the biggest reason why so many people don’t come to church anymore, and reject God completely, so therefore I feel that all possible angles of this issue should be covered. In fact my nephew has rejected the church and Go...
