Hello again

All I can do is ask you to respect our rules, Nobody is belittling, or will ever be allowed to belittle your experience or anyone else's on this site. There is plenty of room here to discuss issues and seek personal support, but I repeat that we cannot accept a blanket statement from anyone that mak...

Hello again

Glo, you said that the referendum "made [me] realise just how many people out there (not specifically in church) believe foreigners to be a problem". That is assigning a specific motivation and priority to a very large group of people. I should add that I am posting as an Admin, and not as a member....

Hello again

Please, Glo, don't make blanket comments about other people's motivations and priorities. This is not a place for political wrangling, but please accept that many people voted in a way that you may not agree with for reasons that have nothing to do with a dislike of foreigners. Far too much has been...

Advent Calendar 2018

This Advent we are revisiting a previous Advent Calendar. The theme was 'Stars', and it will be available from Saturday December 1st, although you can take a peek here before it springs to life.

The Lord bless you and keep you and your family Rubia.

Underneath are the everlasting arms - even when we can't feel them.

Guy Fawkes Day

I noticed last night that the fireworks on the mountain, which weren't very far from us at all, were really quite quiet. Much less noise than heavy rain, and not at all high-pitched. With the TV on we didn't notice them at first. I suspect a lot of the noise is deliberate rather than necessary.

Guy Fawkes Day

The purpose of Guy Fawkes Night was actually to celebrate the failure of the plotters to blow up the King and Parliament, which does seem like a reasonable reason for celebration. It was initially 'an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure' (see Wikipedia ). The fireworks, I believ...

Adding Media to Posts

We have a new system for adding music or videos to posts. If you simply put the full url for the media into your post the software should identify it and display it as music or video. There are some sites where this will not work, so if you have problems, try putting around the ...

Possible Downtime

Our hosting is going to change tomorrow morning. When it does I will have to change a number of settings before you can access i-church again. This may mean that the site is unavailable for a short time. Do not panic!

Faith, Belief or Trust or All Three

Yes, we did it in 2014 and 2016 and it was very good.

Pam recorded the readings, and we used the videos provided with the course. We met in the i-church Chapel for the sessions and then used the forums for further discussion. I'd say i-church was an ideal location for it!

You will only need to accept them again if you have removed the cookies. Do you have your browser set to clear cookies when you turn it off?

Once you accept them they will stay put unless you remove them, in which instance you will be asked for permission again when the site needs to place them.
