Snow and flood...

Post by Karen » Wed Feb 11, 2009 7:45 am

We had the snow and the whole of Southern England stopped for a week. Now we have floods and the buses have decided that they can't run. Going around the floods seems to be beyond them so we are having to drive the children to school. Ahhhhhhhhh

Anyone else dealing with difficult weather conditions?

We haven't had any more snow than we usually get, but last week we were snowed out of our county town 25 miles away, because they had more than they were used to.

Apparently a mountain (really just a hill that stretched its neck and managed to make the grade) three miles away, that we can see from our bedroom window, had 5 inches on Sunday night, but we only had a sprinkling.

I think, being very rural, we are probably more prepared to deal with snow than a lot of other areas. And thankfully we have no flood warnings - our town has had three 'once in a century' floods in the past 2 years, and flood warnings really do scare around here.
Kindness is underrated.
