Prince Harry and Meghan Markle taking place today at St George's Chapel at Windsor.

The will be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after their marriage.

Praying that their union will be blessed and that the media will allow them time and space to enjoy their married life together and whatever happens, they are blessed with love and peace. :votive2:

Bishop Michael Curry, the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church in the USA, gave a memorable address which can be viewed here:

When I arrived at the church where I was preaching this morning, the welcomers at the door greeted me by asking me if I was going to preach like Bishop Curry!

I have downloaded and printed it, and will be taking a copy into church for our Lady Chapel for people to read. :votive1:

What a great sermon and it says a lot about how he leads the Episcopal Church in the USA. We could do with some of our Bishops preaching like that.

Thank you so much for that Pam. We turned the TV on while we had lunch, and Bishop Curry has just finished, so we didn't hear any of his sermon.

Wonderful.

BTW Did you preach like him?

I am pretty sure I didn't, though maybe I should have asked what they meant by 'Like Bishop Curry.'

I did draw on his sermon to reflect on Pentecost, and what it meant to the disciples, and on other religious revivals Los Angeles and how they have brought different groups of people together, particularly the Azusa Street revival in Los Angeles.
