It was only Joyce and I tonight, but I think Jae and Jen apparently tried to join, but the room may have balked...
We did the full nine yards of Compline! :)
Missed y'all! :bye:

Many apologies I could not get in to lead tonight. Nothing to do with the software - I have been having problems with my wifi signal which goes through patches of being really flaky. Hopefully will be sorted soon.

Not a problem, Pam. :)
Joyce and I prayed for you, so maybe you will be especially blessed!
And I think the rooms were acting up tonight anyway.
A couple of others apparently tried to get in but couldn't.
Thanks!
Peace and Easter blessings,
Joe :)

I'm really sorry everyone ... if you are having trouble getting into the chapel, it looks like the chat room is down.

I don't think it is us as we can still access the site but it may be the chat room provider who is having internet connection problems.

Hopefully Caroline can investigate when she is about.

Ah, that would explain why I couldn't get in - anyway my Java DID need updating, but I was a bit puzzled when I couldn't get in after that!

I'm sure Caroline will be able to look into it, it seems as if it's online now so it may simply have been that something was offline at the chat room end of things. As you probably know, we rent the chat room so we have no control over whether it's online or not, but it's been reliable up to now.

Many apologies to everyone, especially Jennifer.

There doesn't seem to be a problem now, and there hasn't been an issue from our end, so I think it must have been a problem with the chatroom providers.

Could someone let me know what exactly was happening - what error message you were getting etc?

it was saying that there was no internet connection Caroline but only for the chat room part of the site.

Am no expert but would say it was the chat rom server end not ours.

Mine was simply not logging in, I didn't get an error message but I didn't get the revolving icon telling me Java was logging in either. So all I could see was the header with the links to other parts of i-church, with no chat window at the bottom or users/rooms at the side.

I was able to log in later, though all the rooms were closed by then of course.

I got the same as Pam. However, in the space on the front board, where it normally tells you who is in the chapel, it had the message you get if you can't connect to the server.

I've just found a notice on the AddonInteractive website saying that there were problems with the specific server that we connect to last night.

It seems to have been down for around 2 hours, neatly covering the time we needed it.

Thanks for solving the mystery,Caroline.
I got the usual normal i-church heading, like Pam, but with a blank, bluish square underneath.

Now we've learned the sort of things we'll see that mean the server is down. Not helpful last night but may be useful for future reference, should there be another occasion.

Edited for typo

Thanks for sorting out the mystery Caroline, as Joyce said we now know the sort of things we may see that mean the server is at fault. As the problem is solved I won't note what I saw(same as Pam)

No need to apologise Pam, it's just one of those things(one of the joys of the Internet  ).

So it was just one of those things, as Jennifer says!
