family home fire

Please pray for a family with six children that had a house fire. All family members (human and animal) were saved and after a short spell in hospital all are now physically fine.

Please pray for strength for the mum to keep going and not break down in front of the children, for her to manage to sort out somewhere appropriate to stay as they are now homeless.

May the Children voice their fears instead of bottling them up and may they stay a close family unit even though they are currently physically apart.

I pray for God to hold them in His hand and to protect them from further harm and I thank Him for their safety. :praying:
Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God

In the triumph of prayer
Twofold is the spell.
With the folding of hands
There's a spreading of wings
And the soul's lifted up to invisible lands
And ineffable peace .....

:praying: For the family with six children that lost their house in a fire :praying:

In the US, the Red Cross is officially tasked to find temporary housing for a short while for those in this situation. Not sure how that works in the UK, however.

Peace and blessings,
Joe :praying:

In England and Wales it's the job of the local council to arrange emergency housing, Joe.Fire insurance policies might pay for a hotel for a few nights.
Not many people have relatives who'd be able to take in a family of this size, so I pray that they will soon be found somewhere suitable while they are waiting for their own house to be repaired and restored, which might take months.

For the family - that parents will remain strong at this difficult time. That the kids can be free from fear following the fire, a chance to be open and talk about any issues. That new accomindation will be sorted soon and the community / friends give all the support that they need

God has been brilliant as usual and has provided an empty vicarage so that all the children can be under one roof.

Massive answer to prayer. Loss adjuster due next week so hopefully more permanent plans can be made after that.

Thanks for the prayers!

prayer update: please give thanks that the end to this difficult period is in sight. We move into a new house next week - just waiting for confirmation of which one. Thanks that removals are being arranged and that anything salvaged will be returned - especially exciting for the children to have a few of their own things back.

It's been a long slog over the last four months but hopefully the family can all settle back down and start enjoying life again. Hallelujah!
