The killing of the Iranian General by the USA has caused a swell of dissent in Iran, with millions on the street with threats of retaliation against the USA and other foreign troops in Iraq and elsewhere.
The US President is demonstrating a reckless disregard for the Rule of Law with his actions and threats, which only go further in provoking reaction not just from Iran, but from others who would use this as an excuse for random attacks on nationals of the USA or other nations anywhere in the world.
There could be a war between the two countries, our own government seems quite alarmed, although the PM's rhetoric contributes nothing to encourage restraint.
With his actions in provocation against North Korea earlier in his term, he demonstrated that he cares nothing for international diplomacy norms and he appears set on a war like course of action, which might be connected to his desire to be re-elected later this year.
My prayers are for a peaceful outcome, but that seems less likely every day that passes.
